Šlapio asfalto kvapas
2008-05-14Neseniai Dina rašė, kad jai truputį nepatinka lietus. O aš pagalvojau, kad man jis truputį patinka, ypač vasarą. Nes po to galiu užuosti miestą.
Prieš kelias savaites kažkurioje knygoje (niekaip neprisimenu, kurioje) perskaičiau maždaug tokią frazę: “…ore tvyrojo šlapio asfalto kvapas, kuris mieste atstoja gaivą”. Tiksliai neatkartosiu, bet man įstrigo į galvą. Supratau, kodėl taip mėgstu šitą kvapą: jis reiškia, kad ką tik palijo, ore nėra dulkių, o lauke šilta. Ir primena vaikystę.
Ypač mėgstu trumpas liūtis vasarą. Ne tokias, kurios užtvindo senamiesčio rūsius, bet tas, po kurių dingsta smogas. Ilgą laiką gyvenau šalia neasfaltuotos gatvės (beje, net ir dabar ji, nors ir gana netoli centro, yra neasfaltuota). Po lietaus viskas aplinkui kvepėdavo šlapiu smėliu, žole ir medžiais, o mano namo kiemas – šlapiu betonu. Galėdavau sėdėti ant suoliuko ir uostyti, kol išdžiūdavo.
O tada užplūsdavo tikra palaima, kad dabar vasara, atostogos, aplinkui viskas žalia ir galima kiaurą dieną būti lauke su draugais. Ir tas lietus mums netrukdydavo. Pamatę debesis nebėgdavome namo, o slėpdavomės po medžiais ar po pačių susikaltu stogu. Vis tiek grįždavome namo šlaputėliai ir niekada neperšaldavome. Nes kaip čia gali susirgti, kai asfaltas po lietaus garuoja, o smėlis ne tik šlapias, bet ir šiltas.
Dabar užuodusi šlapią asfaltą, kaip šįryt, noriu eiti ir praeiti pro darbą, pro namus. Pabėgti pasivaikščiojimui palei Nerį ar nueiti iki kokio parkelio. Nes noriu šlapios žolės, saulės spindulių pro debesis ir lašų, krintančių nuo medžių ir stogų.
