George R. R. Martin “Sostų žaidimas”
2013-03-02Viduramžiais paremta fantastika nėra mano mylimiausias žanras. Nežinau, kas dėl to kaltas, bet įtariu, kad “Žiedų valdovas”. Taigi labai ilgai svarsčiau, ar iš vis pradėti skaityti daugiau nei 600 psl knygą, kuri man nėra prie širdies. Sunku buvo įsivažiuoti – dėl tokios vardų, pavardžių ir pareigų gausybės ilgai nesupratau, kas prie ko. Kadangi knyga elektroninė, tik po kurio laiko pastebėjau, kad gale yra surašyti visi giminystės ryšiai :)

Veikėjai. Kaip jau minėjau, jų be galo daug. Nu tikrai. Bet gana greitai atsirinkau mylimiausius ir apie juos skaityti buvo smagiausia. Viena tokių – princesė Daneiris. Dar yra įdomių, apie kuriuos daug nutylima, pvz., Mažasis Pirštas. Nors jie ir blogi, bet vis tiek patinka. Ir dar yra tokių, kaip mergaitė Sansa, kurią šiais laikais būtų lengva pavadinti išėjusia pro Lochatrono vartus. Žodžiu, kiekvienas susiras savo mylimiausią.
Karas. Skaitydama knygą žinojau, kad nu vis tiek čia kada nors bus karas. Ačiū rašytojui, kad realūs kariniai veiksmai prasidėjo tik į pabaigą, nes man nėra nieko nuobodžiau, kaip skaityti kas ką persmeigė, nukirto galvą, kaip krito arkliai ir upeliais tekėjo kraujas. Masinės mūšių scenos su raiteliais, lankininkais ir kardais apsiginklavusiais pėstininkais man neįdomios nei filmuose, nei knygose.
Fantastika. Baisiai įdomu, kas ir kodėl ten dedasi anapus Septynių Karalysčių sienos. Apie tai buvo tiek mažai… Gal ne be reikalo, dabar juk visai norisi perskaityti ir kitas knygas :) Be drakonų ir numirėlių, fantastiškiausi knygoje yra metų laikai. Mat ten niekas nežino, kada prasidės ir kiek laiko truks vasara ar žiema. Štai dabar visi jaučia, kad labai ilga (net 9 metus trukusi) vasara eina į pabaigą ir atslenka žiema, kuri, po ilgos vasaros, greičiausiai irgi bus ilga ir baisi. Žodžiu, visi badaus, o iš anapus sienos puldinės numirėliai. Dar įdomu, kad ne baisiai didelėje šalyje vienam gale pasninga net ir vasaromis, o kitame alinančiai karšta. Taigi, fantastikos kiekis kol kas neperžengia mano tolerancijos ribų :)

2013-03-03 2:18Nemėgstu šiuolaikinės fantastikos – nei Žiedų valdovo, nei Hario Poterio (nors tai gal daugiau stebuklinė pasaka)..Todėl net aukštas Sostų žaidimų įvertinimas nesugundys manęs paimti į rankas šios knygos :)

2013-03-03 16:26Jolanta, o kokia nešiuolaikinė fantastika patinka? Aišku, man Žiedų valdovas parašytas dar kai mano mamos net nebuvo, neatrodo labai šiuolaikinis :). Rekomendacijos būtų neblogai, nes pats žanras man patinka, tik sunku atrasti ką geresnio.

2013-03-04 12:27Salomėja-kažkada skaičiau leidžiamą fantastikos seriją.(na, panašiai gal kaip Drasiųjų keliai). Tačiau dauguma siužetų jau nebeaktualūs, nes tai tapo šios dienos realybe :) Visgi “senieji” fantastikos autoriai labiau linko į moksinę fantastiką arba kosmoso temą (Eldoradas, Soliaris ir t.t.) . Tuo tos knygos ir skiriasi nuo šiuolaikinių pasakų apie burtus,stebuklus, laiko mašinas ir t.t.
Laura, ar senojoje “filaretų bibliotekoje” vis dar yra fantastinių romanų? Ar negrįžtamai užkišti sandėliuke?

2013-03-04 12:52Jolanta, tai čia jau ne nuo laikotarpio skiriasi. Mokslinė fantastika ir fantazy yra skirtingi stiliai :). Abu jie yra ir šiais laikais, ir anais laikais buvo (Soliaris net naujesnis už Žiedų valdovą) :).
