Karin Alvtegen “Šešėlis”
2013-04-05Labai taupiau šitą knygą, nes tai paskutinė neskaityta Alvtegen knyga. Daugiau jų nėra iš viso. Vadinasi, teks ilgai laukti, kol parašys ir išvers… Kaip visada, perskaičiau su didžiausiu malonumu.

Įvykiai. “Šešėlyje” daug svarbių, vienas su kitu persipynusių įvykių. Visi jie ima narpliotis iš didžiulio kamuolio tuomet, kai miršta paprasta moterėlė, daug metų dirbusi tarnaite rašytojo, Nobelio premijos laureato, namuose. Pasirodo, nei paralyžiuotas rašytojas, nei jo žmona nėra tokios jau šventos karvės. O sūnus, gyvenantis iš tėvo rašliavų ir ignoruojantis žmoną su dukra, sužinos, kaip iš tikrųjų paauglystėje mirė jo sesuo. Čia dar įsipainioja niekam nežinomas vaikinukas, kuriam mirusi tarnaitė viską palieka testamentu, ir prasigėręs diedas, suvaidinantis knygos pabaigoje esminį vaidmenį. Žodžiu, veikėjų daug ir jei bent vieno linija išnyktų, subyrėtų visa knyga.
Mirtys. Jų knygoje daug: pradžioje miršta tarnaitė, praeityje mirė rašytojo dukra ir dar kai kas, o pabaigoje miršta pats rašytojas (atsiprašau, kad atskleidžiau neskaičiusiems, bet jis juk merdėjo nuo pirmų puslapių…) ir dar du asmenys. Vienas gana įspūdingai :) K. Alvtegen “Šešėlyje” tikrai pasistengė. Bet nepersistengė. Mane ima siutinti, kai knygoje viskas tampa taip painu, kad norisi kuo greičiau atsiversti pabaigą ir išsiaiškinti, kuris dėl ko kaltas. Čia gi surastas nervų tampymo ir kantrybės išlaikymo balansas, todėl skaičiau ilgai ir pasimėgaudama.
Psichologija. Turbūt kartojuosi, bet labiausiai K. Alvtegen knygose man patinka sudėtingi, bet kiekvienam labai artimi veikėjų charakteriai. Neištikimybės, apleistų vaikų, apgavysčių, nusivylimo temos turbūt anksčiau ar vėliau paliečia kiekvieną. Tik va, paguodos jos knygose nerasi, užtat moralas visada tas pats “ylos maiše nepaslėpsi”.
