2012-07-16Šita knyga išrinkta 2011-tųjų paauglių “Metų knyga”. Ar verta, negaliu pasakyti, nes neskaičiau kitų nominančių, bet knyga gera. Gaila jos pabaigoje surasti žinutę, kad autorius jau miręs. Nes gerų lietuvių rašytojų ir taip jau labai mažai…

Pavadinimas. Turbūt trečdalį knygos skaičiau “nuomiškas” vietoje “nuomšiko”, nes tai istorija apie vaikų globos namus, kurių gyventojai yra nuomojami įvairiausiems darbams – mašinoms nuo sniego valyti, žvirbliams ganyti, prekėms parduotuvėse reklamuoti ir panašiai. O kartais, nelegaliai, ir dėdėms iš automobilių… tokiam darbui, po kurio kelias dienas nesinori kalbėti. Tai vat, knyga nėra iš lengvųjų.
Auditorija. Knyga neva parašyta paaugliams. Bet jiems ji neturėtų būti įdomi, nes paaugliškų egzistencijos ir visokių kitokių bėdų čia niekas nesprendžia. Vaikams knyga per sunki. Suaugusiems… na, gal, sakyčiau, labiausiai tai ji tinka suaugusiems. Todėl ir perskaičiau. Bet šiaip, kaip sakė pats autorius, “niekada neslėpiau, kad rašau truputėlį kitokiems vaikams. Tokiems, kurių, kad pamatytum, turi gerokai pasidairyti. Kurie nebijo skaityti, kai kiti žaidžia futbolą. Tokiems, kurie nesutinka su autoriumi. Kurie išdrįsta pasakyti „ne“, kai visi mokytojai ir klasiokai sako „taip.”. Turbūt taip ir yra.
Apie ką? Sunku trumpai pasakyti. Apie Namus. Apie šeimą. Apie meilę. Apie paradoksus. Apie tai, kaip iš tiesų sunku kartais būti vaiku. Apie tai, kad mes visi iš tikrųjų esame nuomšikai. Žodžiu, paskaitykit, kas, kad paaugliams…
