Christopher Priest “Prestižas”
2013-01-09Kadaise žiūrėjau filmą “Prestižas“. Jis man paliko įspūdį, o perskaityta knyga atgaivino detales. Knyga, žinoma, yra kitokia. Paremta veikėjų atsiminimais, be to, čia susiduria net trys kartos. Ir pabaiga kaip iš “siaubiako”. Naktį baigiau skaityt, tai net nemalonu buvo užmigti :)

Magija. Knyga yra apie du susipykusius magus. Na, ne tuos, fantastinius, o tuos, kurie rodo triukus ir apgaudinėja žiūrovus. Vienas netyčia pakenkia kitams, tas keršija ir taip be galo be krašto. Į visa tai yra įsipynusios triukų paslaptys. Mat vienas magų niekaip negali perprasti kito atliekamo numerio paslapties ir, netekęs vilties, imasi savo būdo. Tik magijos jo nukopijuotame triuke nebedaug… Čia prasideda mokslinė fantastika. Užtat kokia įspūdinga! Prie viso to prisideda N. Tesla ir jo “žaibų aparatas“. Tas daikčiukas atrodo taip, lyg galėtų dar ir ne tokių fokusų padaryti…
Trūkumas. Šiek tiek trūko vienos paslapties paaiškinimo. Taip, situacija aiški, bet taip norisi žinoti, kaip ten viskas tiksliai… Gal man trūko todėl, kad filme viskas buvo pateikta aiškiau, labiau išnarpliota. To paties tikėjausi ir skaitydama. Na, bet knygos vertinimo tai labai nenumušė :) Aš nelabai mėgstu dienoraščio ir atsiminimų stiliaus knygų, bet čia veiksmas nusitęsia daugiau nei per šimtmetį, taigi nekliudė.
