Jeigu mano principai būtų stipresni už sveiką nuovoką, nebūčiau nei pirkusi, nei skaičiusi šios knygos. Bet pirmoji susiskaitė visai gerai, o šioje, sakyčiau, netgi dar mažiau kalbėjimo apie save ir pasipūtimo. Taigi, iš esmės mažiau ir paties A. Užkalnio. O tai yra gerai. Netgi labai gerai. Nes kuo jo straipsniuose/knygose mažiau jo paties, tuo darbai geresni. Pasikartosiu, kad, nepaisant kai kur absoliučiai nesutampančio požiūrio, mano nuomone, jis rašo puikiai. Todėl skaityti verta vien patį rašymą. Tik kartais smarkiai suabejoju dėl turinio.
Abiejose “evangelijose” turinys nėra tas, dėl kurio labai abejočiau. Tiesa, mano mama pasakė negalinti skaityti tokios knygos, nes daug kas prasilenkia su tikrove. O sovietinio gyvenimo ji mačiusi maždaug keturis kartus daugiau nei aš. Taigi ir žino geriau. Bet aš nesu tokia jauna kaip dauguma Užkalnio skaitytojų (nes pagrindinė jo auditorija yra paaugliai – traukia panašaus lygio kategoriškumas, kalbos maniera ir būdas), taigi ir prisimenu daugiau. Todėl pastebėjau netikslumų, absoliutinimą ne vietoje ir kitų negerų dalykų. Vien dėl to ši knyga yra iš tų, kur perskaityti verta, bet pirkti – ne. Jei bus trečia, turbūt skaitysiu. Bet jau skolinsiuos.
